The Activity... no... *THE* Activity

Motivation... it's what gets us all moving isn't it? What would be motivating to YOU?

You know those motivational posters that show a guy standing on top of a mountain and under it says "Achievement", then some motivational saying like "It's hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed." (That quote is by Theodore Roosevelt). That is motivational to some people.

Me? I always got a kick out of the poster (and ones like it), that shows a beautiful picture of an ocean liner out on a vast and beautiful ocean, with the sun setting, and puffy clouds turning orange in the sunset. Only, in this poster the ship is sinking. The word below the picture is "Mistakes" and the quote below it is "It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others." Now THAT is motivating! (Ok, maybe not motivating, per se, but really funny...)

I'm rambling...

To (hopefully) motivate YOU we are not going to show you posters. Nope. We are going to have a party! I know, I alluded to a party before, so I guess that's not much of a surprise. However, I now can share some more details!

When: August 24th

(that's a Wednesday folks)

Where: The Ford's Residence

(you know, the awesome parents of Brian, who is also awesome... naturally)

What: A Party

(did I already say that?) 

Oh, if you haven't heard, we'll have a dunk tank. We've got various people lined up to take the plunge depending on how many talks you have read. If you want a shot at dunking some leaders, you better get reading!

For those of you who read ALL of the talks, you will have the opportunity to dunk Bishop Sorenson! As if that in and of itself isn't enough, Bishop is sooooOOOoooOOOooo confident that no one will read all of the talks that he is going to show up in a suit and tie! Of course, we all know YOU will read all the talks just to see him go under in a suit!
